How Much Do You Charge?

I really want to change your approach to professional photography pricing today and help you realize it isn’t about pricing, it is about an investment that you will be making for your family. I understand that we are all on budget and some of us don’t value professional portraits as much as others do. But let me tell you from experience that professional portraits are well worth the investment.

Photography is about capturing your memories so that you never forget them. It’s about documenting all those milestones in our children’s lives. It’s about those baby fat rolls and wrinkles. It’s about that first step. It’s about that first tee ball game. It’s about that first day of school and the last day of school. It’s about that high school and college graduation. It’s about her wedding day, your wedding day, that first grandchild. Photography is all about capturing life, the moments, the triumphs, the miracles. the blessings!

Professional portraits are an investment for your family. An investment in the emotional wellbeing of everyone who loves and is loved. No one is ever promised a tomorrow and sometimes photographs are all we have left to keep that special someone near to our hearts and memories.

The Basic Portrait session is 3 hours.  This is the time allotted for photography, hair, and makeup, getting dressed, changing clothes, changing lighting, etc.

Weekday Sessions:  $350

Weekend Sessions: $500

Headshot Sessions:  $275 At your location, (30-minute session)

Headshot Sessions: $175My studio, (30-minute session)

Portrait Session Fees are collected at the time of booking and include the following:

  • In-person or teleconference consultation with Cornell

  • Photographer’s creativity and time required to photograph the client

  • Professionally edited images from your portrait session

  • A viewing/selection appointment with the photographer to select artwork and albums for your home

  • Your full order will be placed at your viewing/selection appointment; all decision-makers must be present

  • The specified amount of product credit, which may be used toward purchase during your selection appointment

  • Custom design of portrait and gallery options for your walls

  • Permanent archival of your purchased images both on and off-site

Wall Art & Album Prices:

  • Wall art begins at $750

  • Albums begin at $1,250

Digital Files and other Add-On Products:

  • Cornell T. McGhee Photography specializes in fine artwork in the form of wall pieces and albums. Digital files are included free for those clients who spend at least $5,000 on products.

  • Actor and model comp cards, albums, gift prints (8×10 and smaller), birth announcements, holiday cards, keepsake boxes, and other specialty products are also available.

Services Available for an Additional Charge:

  • Wardrobe consultants

  • Destination and Travel charges

  • Exotic props such as vehicles, airplanes, animals, etc.

General Photography Policies

  • Prices are non-negotiable.

  • After your photo session is complete, basic edits take 7-14 business days. If your photos are time-sensitive, please plan accordingly.  If you have specific requirements, communicate them during the reveal session.

  • I reserve the right to display photographs on social media, portfolios, etc.

  • Any no-call or no-show is a forfeiture of your session fee/deposit.
